We are seeking a part-time prep cook to prepare and create beautiful, healthy meals for approximately 60 students in our Early Education program. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, self-motivated, and creative. This position will be working independently alongside the Early Education department and under the supervision of the Kitchen Manager. The candidate would be empowered to make the kitchen a clean, positive environment. The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday from 8:30am - 1:30 pm.

Assist in planning meals that ensure the nutritional needs of the children are being met
Prep and cook snacks and meals for about 60 students; infancy through preschool
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Comply with ServSafe and Indiana State Health Standards
Requirements:
Food sanitation training is preferred but not required
Candidate must be able to put the developmental needs of children at the highest priority - training will be provided
Must be 21 years old or older
Additional hours are available if desired in classrooms
For this role, we are seeking someone who is positive, organized, able to work independently, detail focused, and willing to follow stated rules and policies.
High School Diploma
21 years of age or older
Self-motivated with a high level of organizational skills
Experience working in non-profit organizations preferred
Experience working with youth
Strong communication skills with people of all ages
Candidate should be detail-oriented, self-motivated, and creative. This position will be working independently alongside the Early Education department under the supervision of the Kitchen Manager and empowered to make the kitchen a clean, positive environment. JAM Early Education is open 6 AM to 5:30 PM, hours may fluctuate within that timeframe but main shift would be 8:30-1:30 Monday thru Friday.
