Our Community Engagement and Development Coordinator is the heart of our outreach and fundraising efforts! This position plays a central role in advancing our mission and strengthening our connection with the community. We’re looking for a passionate, people-oriented professional to help drive engaging events, create eye-catching marketing materials, coordinate fundraising initiatives, and foster lasting relationships with donors and supporters. This role reports to the Chief Development Officer and works closely with our Resource Development Committee while gaining valuable experience in donor relations, event planning, marketing, and project management - all while making a real, lasting impact. This is the perfect opportunity for someone who’s organized, creative, and energized by making meaningful connections.
This is a part-time position averaging 20 hours per week. The ideal candidate brings experience in fundraising, sales, or community engagement, along with strong planning, communication, and organizational skills. We’re looking for someone who’s proactive, personable, flexible, and able to adapt in a dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities. Familiarity with tools like Canva - or a willingness to learn - is a plus. Above all, we’re seeking someone who lives by JAM Center’s core values: Honesty, Respect, Responsibility, and Caring.
$15.00 - $18.00 hourly

- Ability to lift and move boxes and equipment of various weights

- Help plan and execute fundraising campaigns and special events
- Attend and contribute to monthly Resource Development Committee meetings
- Prepare for and participate in JAM Center events, supporting from planning to follow-up
- Use Canva to design and update marketing materials and event collateral
- Assist with donor communications - personal, phone, and written
- Support direct mail campaigns and other donor outreach efforts
- Assist with administrative and clerical tasks as needed
- Represent JAM Center with energy and enthusiasm at events and in the community
- Participate in all required training, initiatives, and meetings
- Keep all personal qualifications up to date
- Perform all other duties as assigned
- Must be 21 or older
- Previous experience in fundraising, sales, or community engagement
- Strong project planning and organizational skills
- A people-person through and through: warm, professional, and a great communicator
- Ability to take initiative with a positive, can-do attitude
- Comfort with tools like Canva (or willingness to learn)
