Under the supervision of the Facilities & Maintenance Manager, this full-time position is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, safety, and overall upkeep of our facility. Key duties include vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors; cleaning and sanitizing restrooms and locker rooms; restocking supplies in common areas; emptying and sanitizing trash receptacles; and maintaining clean and organized janitorial storage areas. Additional responsibilities include dusting office furniture, cleaning windows, dishwashing, kitchen cleaning, and properly using and labeling cleaning chemicals. The Facility Cleaning Technician is also expected to wear appropriate safety equipment at all times, maintain janitorial equipment in safe working condition, and promptly communicate any building or inventory needs to the Facilities & Maintenance Manager. Prior experience is a plus but not required - comprehensive training on proper cleaning techniques and safety procedures will be provided. Flexibility, a willingness to learn, and attention to detail are essential.

This is a full-time position with a regular schedule of Monday through Friday, 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

Pay Range

$10.00 -$15.00 hourly

Responsibilities

- Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms and locker rooms
- Restock supplies in bathrooms, locker rooms, break rooms, and common areas
- Empty all trash cans and replace liners, clean receptacles as necessary
- Dusting and cleaning office desks and furniture
- Cleaning windowsills and windows
- Maintain janitor storage areas/carts in a clean, organized, and safe manner
- Maintain janitorial equipment in a clean, safe, and operable condition
- Proper labeling, dilution, and use of all chemicals
- Dishwashing and kitchen cleaning
- Wearing proper safety equipment at all times
- Communicating building and inventory needs to the Facilities & Maintenance Manager
- Taking care of facility needs as they arise with swiftness and accuracy

Qualifications

- High school diploma or GED
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- Ability to work independently
- Basic knowledge of cleaning products or willing to learn
- Quality work ethic & dependability
- Ability to lift and move boxes and equipment of various weights; climb ladders as needed
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, or crouch. Ability to climb, push, and pull
- Ability to lift and carry objects up to 45 pounds
