Lifeguard Certification Course

🌊 Become a Certified Lifeguard with the American Red Cross!

Make a difference, save lives, and earn a valuable certification! The JAM Center is offering an American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification Course this August for both first-time participants and those needing recertification. This comprehensive training covers lifeguarding, CPR, AED, First Aid, and Bloodborne Pathogens.

📅 Course Dates:

• August 15 | 5–9 PM

• August 16 & 17 | 9 AM–6 PM (ending times approximate)

📍 Location: JAM Center, 1200 E. Houston St., Garrett, IN

💻 Prerequisites:

• Schedule and pass swim test by August 8 (call Star at 260-222-0329)

• Complete 7-hour online coursework by August 15 (sent April 14)

• Must be 15+ years old by August 15 (bring photo ID)

💲 Course Fees:

• First-Time Certification: $220 (nonmembers) / $176 (members & Garrett Pool staff)

• Recertification: $130 (nonmembers) / $100 (members)

• $50 nonrefundable deposit required after passing swim test

• Lifeguard pack (hip pack, CPR mask, whistle) available for $25

• Optional printed manual: $35

✅ Certification Includes:

• 2-year Lifeguard, CPR, AED & First Aid certification

• 1-year Bloodborne Pathogens certification
