Build strength, balance, and confidence for everyday movement!
This yoga therapy series is designed to support balance, stability, and mobility while helping reduce the risk of falls. Led by a board-certified yoga therapist, sessions focus on improving functional strength, coordination, posture, and body awareness in a safe and supportive environment.
Rather than a traditional yoga class, this program uses therapeutic movement and evidence-informed practices to address the underlying factors that contribute to falls, including decreased balance, muscle weakness, joint stiffness, and changes in reaction time and confidence. Participants will explore gentle movement, breath work, balance training, and guided awareness practices that help improve stability and support nervous system regulation.
Each session emphasizes practical skills that translate directly into daily life, such as safe transitions from sitting to standing, walking with greater confidence, improving posture, and enhancing overall mobility. Practices are adaptable and accessible, making the series appropriate for beginners, older adults, individuals recovering from injury, or anyone looking to maintain independence and move with greater ease.
No yoga experience is required. Chairs and supportive props are incorporated to ensure safety and comfort for all participants.
Join us to strengthen your body, improve balance, and cultivate confidence in movement so you can continue doing the activities you love with greater stability and ease!
