This position plays a key role in building meaningful relationships with donors, volunteers, sponsors, and community members while supporting initiatives that strengthen the impact and sustainability of JAM Center. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys connecting with people, organizing projects, communicating effectively, and contributing creative ideas within a mission-driven environment. What You’ll Do:
Fundraising & Donor Engagement
- Assist in planning and executing fundraising campaigns, sponsorship efforts, and donor initiatives
- Support donor stewardship through phone calls, written communication, and relationship-building activities
- Help maintain donor records and development tracking systems
- Assist with direct mail campaigns and fundraising communications

Event Coordination & Community Outreach
- Coordinate logistics for fundraising and community events
- Support volunteer coordination and sponsorship fulfillment
- Represent JAM Center professionally at events and within the community
- Help strengthen partnerships with local businesses, organizations, and community members

Collaboration & Organizational Support
- Attend and contribute to monthly Resource Development Committee meetings
- Collaborate with leadership and staff on organizational initiatives
- Contribute creative ideas that enhance donor engagement and community connection
- Support a positive, adaptable, and collaborative team culture

Physical Requirement

- Ability to lift and carry supplies and equipment up to 45 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, crouch, and move throughout events and facilities as needed
- Ability to travel locally for meetings, events, and outreach activities
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
- This role includes both office-based responsibilities and participation in community events and activities throughout the region

Qualifications

- Self-motivated with a positive attitude and willingness to take initiative
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Organized with strong attention to detail and project coordination abilities
- Experience in fundraising, sales, customer service, marketing, event coordination, or community engagement preferred but not required
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment
- Comfortable learning and utilizing technology platforms such as: Canva, Monday.com, CRM systems, and other digital communication tools
- Passion for community impact and alignment with JAM Center’s mission and values
